Is there ever gonna be a exit?

Did you come here to see if there’s an Exit? No. There is currently no Exit and this Wiki has no evidence that one is coming. The game is based off an «Infinite» Ikea. If you are particularly enthusiastic about the idea, you can suggest that uglyburger0 add an exit on the Discord server.

It should be noted that the SCP Wiki article for SCP-3008 mentions one or more exits being present, and that 14 people and one Employee are known to have exited.^[1]

This is a Survival Guide for beginners. Here, you can learn about some tips and tricks for surviving in SCP-3008. This includes behavior patterns of the enemies, methods of survival, finding other players, and building tips.

Your First Night

As many survival game players know, it’s a really big know-how that you know what to do on your first night. The main objective at night is keeping the various instances of SCP-3008-2 away. You must also watch your energy level, as when it runs out your health depletes quickly. Your energy level can be replenished by eating food. If you run out of health, you will die and respawn somewhere random, making it harder to locate your home base without a way-point set.

If you have time in the day before your first night, any of the following will increase your chances of surviving:

• Build a shelter to protect yourself from employees.
• Find food items, such as Apples, Striped Donuts, Meatballs, etc.
• Find friends or others in the server to survive with, as teamwork is best.
• Build near a cafeteria or other food source (Preferably).
• Build on a set of industrial shelves (Preferably).

• Go on a search for a floating house (Optional, requires two or three pieces of furniture).

If you do not have enough time to build a shelter, go inside a wardrobe and use any large object to create a small shelter for yourself.

The easiest way to make a base is to build in a cafeteria: make walls and a roof so the employees wont get in, and make sure that the walls cover the entire cafeteria. It’s the easiest way and you’ll never run out of food. Or, you can just make a simple 5-sided base out of any decent building material you can find. Another good way is to fix up an abandoned base.

An extremely important tip is to use waypoints. If you go into the extras menu (T key or the 4 square at the top of your screen), you can create up to four waypoints (eight waypoints if you have the Octuple Waypoints Gamepass). These can only be seen by you and will disappear if you leave the game or delete/hide them. It is advised to make a waypoint on your base, and any other important areas you want to remember the location of, such as a cafeteria.

Finding Your Friends

Working together to build bases and find food can prove very beneficial. Therefore, finding teammates and friends is pretty much required if you need a helping hand. There are multiple strategies for finding some people, some simpler than others. If your friend is in the game with you, press the «H» key to whistle. You or your friend will be able to see where each other are in game (Depends on who whistles) if you are friended on Roblox.

Object Rotation Method

First pick up an object, any object, as long as you can see a white arrow in the middle of the rotation arrows. It is hard to see at first because it is mostly transparent but you should be able to see it eventually. Press Ctrl+Shift+R to reset the position of the object, or press the reset button on mobile. Then rotate it on the Y axis, or green arrow once. Go to the direction the arrow is facing, and tell your friends to do the same.

If you have done it right, you should be able to meet each other in one of the corners, where you can now work together to survive!

Pillar Method

Another way you can find your way around is by finding the north/south/east/west walls. The screen on the pillar is always on the north side of the pillar, so you can head in the direction the screen is facing to meet the north wall. From there, you can find the west/east walls by going left/right once you reach it until you reach another wall, or find the south wall by heading in the opposite direction of the north. You can also orient yourself just using the pillar, and not using the walls at all.

You can use this method to meet with a friend by agreeing to meet by a wall, or in a corner. An advantage of this method is it’s simple once understood, and requires less communication between the players while finding each other. However, you will need to spend a decent amount of time walking to a wall, which could put you or friend in danger should it become nighttime.

Whistle Method

There is a temporary beacon at a player’s position when they whistle, however, the beacon doesn’t follow the player, meaning they must stand still while whistling. Since whistles are only available to friends, this strategy is not applicable for strangers. If you want to use this method for others, you can friend them temporarily on Roblox. (When your friend whistles, you would see an exclamation mark and the name. Lasts 3-5 seconds.) This is considered to be the easiest method by most players.

Developing Maximum Security

After the first few nights you should feel comfortable with expansion. Or, if you’ve already found a base, with building good security.
There are doors in the game, but they don’t work properly. There are numerous strategies to creating an area where enemies can’t or probably won’t get in. Note that:

• Try to build as small of a base as possible in order to ensure that the base is as secure as possible. Once you have a base established though, you can start expanding it to make a larger base, or even a multi-storied settlement if you’re feeling daring.
• During Blood Nights, a group of employees can pile on top of each other, meaning that if you don’t want a scene from a zombie apocalypse movie, you should build walls as high as possible so that employees cannot see you. It is still advised to build walls if employees do see you, as they can sometimes pile very high.
• On foggy days, employees are not to be ignored. They can still attack you and deal much more damage than nighttime. The only difference is that you can’t stun them, and they are much slower than usual.
  • Tip: Sprint as far away as you can get. (Be careful, because you might be running into more employees as you cannot see clearly.)
• Some Employees can’t get through small or tight spaces easily.
• Make multiple base layers. This can prevent griefing.
• Employees cannot crouch, so you can make an entrance that can only be entered by crouching (make it small enough so that short employees or Ben can’t easily get in).
• All employees are different shapes and sizes, so some are short enough to get down to crouch level.
• Employees cannot pick up objects, so a manual door can be created in this way.
• Employees cannot climb objects very well. Creating obstacles in your base will slow them down.
• Lighting helps you see better at night, such as other players or workers.
  • You can light the path you wish to follow if you are holding a light source.
• Keeping watch over your base lets you preemptively know when an employee is coming.
• Employees will stop chasing you after they lose sight of you; this means hiding behind something for a while will cause them to stop chasing you. It is recommended you hide behind some pillars or structures^[Confirm] (either player-made or generated naturally)
  • You can tell if they stopped following you if they do not say «Excuse me, the store is now closed. Please exit the building.»
• Pressing «H» on the keyboard causes you to whistle, which can alert employees to your location. You can use this feature to your advantage by creating a trap for employees, but this is not advisable as whistling costs 5 energy and it if the plan backfires.
• Some people say that Lights attract employees^[Confirm], but this is not true. However, the lights do attract King in the april fools version.
• It is recommended to make Bases WITHOUT Pallets cause you can see through the little gaps, and so can the employees.
  • Tip: If you choose to make a base using pallets it is recommended to make an extra layer covering the little gaps. However, this is optional if your base is secure and you don’t mind the employees continuously telling you to leave the store. Employees usually cannot get into Pallet bases.

Additional Tips/Facts

• if you’re being chased by an employee, and your friends are safe inside your base, DO NOT attempt to replace any wall to get in. Employees are extremely fast and can outrun you even when you’re sprinting, so you will most likely just make your base uninhabitable and you will have to find another place.
  • However, it is possible to escape an employee by running backwards and pushing them when they get too close. If done correctly, the employee will be stunned long enough for you to leave the range it will chase you. Beware running into more employees, however. A good method to lose them or stay ahead of them until night ends is to run around a pillar repeatedly.
• Cafeterias refill on Mondays and Fridays, so finding multiple cafeterias can help you last the week.
• A good way to prevent anyone from getting into your base is to live on top of an Industrial Shelves. It is the only anchored structure in the game that cannot be broken by King (Ideal if you’re playing the April Fools version), it is higher than all other structures, and living on top prevents griefers from dropping you into a pit of employees.
• Get as many Striped Donuts and Medkits as you can. They are very useful.
• Waypoints you set are visible to you and you only.
• If you are trapped in a small space with an employee, you can left-click (stun) them and run. They can deal a lot of chip damage in a small, enclosed space. If it is your base, run away and hide, then come back to it later when the employees have left.
• Do not try to outrun employees. They can use logic to get to you, so you are more likely to just attract more employees. If you are being chased by a big horde, hide behind something like a pillar. If it’s just one employee, crouch behind the closest wall and hope they go away.
• If you spawn during night, try to make a small shelter with what you have around you. Try not to walk too far away from where you spawned, as this might attract the employees’ attention and cause them to start pursuing you.
  • If you spawned/joined inside an employee’s radius during night, push them and run, try building another small shelter to prevent more employees from chasing you.
• Employees cannot harm you in the day unless it’s a foggy day.
• Employees cannot be killed.
• Employees can locate you based on sound, so if you don’t want to be found during the night or on a foggy day, try to move as little as possible (footsteps make noise) and DO NOT WHISTLE.
• A server starts at day 0, which is a Monday.
• At night, employees can be punched by clicking on them (this takes 4-8 energy), which will knock back and stun them for a short period (2-4 seconds).
  • You cannot punch employees in the day, or when you are holding something.
    • This does not damage or kill them.
  • If you become bored, you can add a small hole in the wall of your base to punch employees through for extra fun throughout the night.
• You can sprint [SHIFT] for however long as you want. The blue bar below is your energy/stamina bar. It will slowly drain over time no matter what you do, therefore it is recommended you stay on sprint and make the stamina worth it, as sprinting drains it more.
• If you let your energy level reach 0, you will die of starvation.
• Striped Donuts are useful in emergencies when your energy is low and you have taken damage, as they heal 8+ health and 70+ energy.
• You can use Ceiling Lamps as items for prop jumping.
• Employees can climb ladders or ladder-like objects, including pallets, ladders, shelves, bookcases, etc.
  • It is advised to remove any ladders or any ladder-like objects during a night, where employees can climb them and attack you.
• Employees can use path-finding AI (Artificial intelligence) to make a route to you, meaning employees can use logic to get to you.
• Employees standing directly on your head cannot hurt you.
  • This can be useful if there is only one employee chasing you.
    • However, two employees stacked on top of each other piled up on you can damage you.
• Coffee tables and ladders are see-through, so you can make walls from them and look outside at the same time.
  • Employees can see through them, though, but they can make nice windows.
• Make sure you have people with you (not griefers) to help build a base or look for food.
• Every day, more employees spawn.
  • This means as the server ages, the difficulty gets higher.
• Getting higher and closer to the ceiling makes your vision darker and therefore, making it harder to see, so don’t build too high if this bothers you.
• Playing on mobile lets you lock sprint mode, contrary to PC version where you must hold Shift to sprint.
• If you’re on PC and you’re finding it hard to sprint-walk, go to the Settings menu and change the Run (Sprint) Keybind to RightShift (if your up-down-left-right buttons are next to the RH Shift) so you can hold a move button and the rshift button at the same time (as they are closer than compared with lshift on a standard keyboard).
• If you need a portable (if not, dollhouse sized) base, the Wardrobe is a suitable choice because you can use any type of furniture to block the entrance.
  • Bunk beds also work for this if placed against a wall or blocked off on both sides.
• On Night 10, 20, 30, 40, and any other multiple of 10, there will always be a blood night. You might want to stack up food the day before and build more defenses.
• On Day 16, 31, 46, 61 and any other multiple of 15 (starting at day 16) there will always be a foggy day.
• On night 30, day 60, night 90, day 120, and any other multiple of 30 there will always be an apocalyptic calendar.
• There are chances (although a bit rare) to get either a blood night, foggy day or apocalyptic calendar even when the nights/days are not a multiple of 10, 15 or 30.
  • If the night is not a multiple of 10, there’s a 1/20 (5%) chance of a blood night to trigger.
  • If the day is not a multiple of 15 (after day 16) there is a 1/100 (1%) of triggering.
  • If the day is not a multiple of 30 (night 30, day 31 and so on) there is a 1/2000 (0.050%) chance of getting a blood night then a foggy day and vice versa.
• On foggy days, employees will attack you. It is best to stay out of their sight and run away if they see you. Employees are considerably slower on foggy days.
• On blood nights, employees are even more powerful, meaning they can run faster, jump higher, and do more damage than on normal nights. If you are wandering around without a shelter during a blood night, it’s very likely that you’ll be killed (you can die multiple times). Employees also spawn more frequently on blood nights.
• If you’re unable to make a base, hunt down an abandoned base and fix it up. Typically, older servers will have more abandoned bases.
• It is recommended to buy the Personal Watch Gamepass, that way you will be able to hear 5 clock-like ticks before night falls. If you have enough Robux, it is advised to buy this gamepass first. It’s at the top-middle of your screen. If you want to hide it, go in your Q menu, then disable the clock.
• Don’t use pallets for walls if able to, employees can see through the little gaps, although you are likely safe from them.
• Make a roof. Employees can pile up to get inside your base from the top.
• Make little huts in case you are far away from your base, so you can hide during nighttime.
• If you have to go down from a deadly/very damaging height (125+ studs high), take a piece of furniture then place it in mid-air without anchoring it, then jump immediately to fall along the furniture.
  • This lets you fall without dying/taking any damage but this doesn’t seem to always work, it just increases your chances of avoiding death/fall damage.
    • Beds or anything else like them can reduce fall damage.
• Put little lights at crouching-entrances as reminders of where to enter your base, since it is harder to see during the night.
• Using TVs as walls that emit light as a bonus. This will not only protect you and your base, but also make your base clearer to see.
• More loyal friends or players at your base could make a community, and work together to quickly rebuild a base whenever a greifer comes.
• If you are lost and nighttime comes, you can hide under a table high enough for you to crouch under.
• Another useful tip to survive the night while you don’t have a base is to take 2 or 3 pieces of furniture like pallets and climb at least 75 studs high and wait for daytime. Coffee tables are useful for this as you can look down and see employees below you.
