- How To Get Moonglow
- What Moonglow Is Used For
Despite being somewhat hard to find, Moonglow is a herb in Terraria that is relatively easy to harvest and grow. This bent stalked plant with a teardrop-like flower can be easy to miss during one’s adventures during the day, however, at night, it glows a soft blue-white, quite like a literal drop of moonlight.
One will need quite a bit of Moonglow in Terraria if potion-making is a pursuit the player seeks to delve into, as there are plenty of items that need this herb to be crafted. Moonglow can be stacked up to 999, which makes gathering a lot of them easy. Furthermore, when sold to NPC merchants, each Moonglow will go for 20 copper coins.

How To Find Moonglow
To find Moonglow in Terraria, players will have to venture to either a Jungle biome or an Underground Jungle biome, as these are the only places where this herb naturally spawns. Moonglow plants can be spotted growing next to regular grass. The most distinguishing feature that helps them stand out against the nearby green vegetation is their blue-white flowers, so keep an eye out for those.
They can be harvested with almost any tools, so go nuts when near them to gather up the goods. They are easy to farm as well, due to the player’s capability to insert them into Clay Pots and Planter Boxes. If there is a handy patch of Jungle grass nearby, Moonglow Seeds can be planted there to soon sprout up amidst the night air.
How To Farm Moonglow
As mentioned above, there are a few ways to set a Moonglow plant into any sort of farming arrangement one desires. However, unlike many other plants, Moonglow only blooms at night, which is when the player needs to harvest them. Gamers will have to cut a Moonglow plant while it is glowing at night to get somewhere between 1 to 3 Moonglow Seeds as well as the plant itself as a drop.
Getting Moonglow Randomly
In chests found on the surface of Terraria, players can sometimes find a type of Grab Bag called a Herb Bag. Within each Herb Bag that one finds, there is roughly a 22% chance of obtaining somewhere between 2 to 40 Moonglow (as well as other plants).
What Moonglow Is Used For
Moonglow can be used to craft 13 different kinds of items in Terraria, including 12 potions, so aspiring alchemists should stock up on this glowing plant and its seeds. For the most part, these recipes will need to be performed at an Alchemy Table for best results, however, also doing so from a Bottle placed on the ground can still be a means of getting things done.
