Appearance
Dark Markery has a slightly gray base, with a lilac cap and emblem. He has a chainsaw, which has an image of Purple Marker with a crossed symbol above it.

Obtaining

Using the hint, «The code is hidden within the foliage…», it becomes apparent that it has something to do with Foliage Marker. Once you find him, there will be this dialogue:
You’ll find the said safe hidden behind the chocolate waterfall in the Candyland biome. Enter ‘3882’ into the keypad and retrieve the crowbar from inside, then go back to the Spawn and use it on the boarded up door located near the Gallery. Once you open the door, you’ll have to drop down a dark chute into an area with vines spanning across a large chasm which you’ll have to walk across. Once you make it to the other side, you’ll arrive at an overgrown version of the old Abandoned City, and in which you’ll receive the Nature Finds a Way badge. At the back of the overgrown clock tower, you’ll find a note which reads: gone 2 void — DM’ There is additional writing on the clock tower, near the note, which says: «EVILPURPLECHAINSAW» The paper alludes to the Void, which is an area in the Space biome. Once in the Void, you must wander around the maze until you find a doorway which leads to a room with a code panel in it. When you arrive, enter the code «EVILPURPLECHAINSAW». When you do, you’ll be teleported to The Dimension of Darkness, where you’ll have to defeat Dark Markery in a boss fight to obtain him. |
Strategy
An overall strategy is to simply keep your distance and shoot Dark Markery. However, if you are trying to defeat him within 75 seconds (to obtain the exclusive badge/halo), then getting closer to the boss will help you end the battle quickly, due to slow projectiles from your laser blaster hitting him faster, but make sure not to get too close or his chainsaw might hit you.
For the first phase, just run away and shoot Dark Markery as he chases you.
For the second phase, watch out for barrages of flying chainsaws. Before the chainsaws come flying, there will be orange trails visible in the arena, so pay attention to the trails’ directions, and dodge accordingly.

Trivia
- Dark Markery’s badge was content deleted a few weeks after it was added to the badge list. The developers have then made a new illustration.
- He is one of the only Markers to have their entire badge hidden from the public, the other marker being Statue Marker.
- Dark Markery and Cowboy Marker are by far the markers that took the longest to implement. It took almost 4 months.
- The code for the safe is the first 4 digits of the ROBLOX ID of the creator of Dark Markery.
- If the player attempts to enter the code to the panel without getting Foliage Marker or the Nature Finds a Way badge, it will appear as «You’re missing something…» instead of «SUCCESS» and will not teleport you to The Dimension of Darkness.
- This is the second Markerous in the game, not counting Foliage Marker.
- Dark Markery is the second marker that needs to be defeated in order to obtain. The first one is Knight Marker.
- Both of them require you to use weapons (laser blaster for Dark Markery and a sword for Knight Marker, respectively) to defeat them.
- Dark Markery is the second marker with an ability to time travel. The first one is Time Marker.
- This time travelling ability is referenced in Time Marker’s dialogue.

While Find the Markers may seem like just another scavenger-hunt-style experience, it actually offers quite an intricate map, with more than a handful of challenging secrets to find. With its Dark Markery update, Find the Markers has added three more markers for players to discover, including the one that we’ll be covering in this brief guide, Dark Markery.
Finding the Dark Markery
Once you’ve spawned into Find the Markers, head toward the Candyland area of the map and look for the hot chocolate waterfall pictured below.
Behind this waterfall is a secret safe that can only be unlocked with a code given to you by Foliage Marker.
To input the code into this safe, press E and select the numbers 3882. Once you’ve inputted the code, click on the green GO button.
The safe should now be open, giving you access to the small crowbar hidden inside.
With the crowbar in hand, return to the spawn and look for the mysterious door pictured below.
Press E when in front of this door to use your crowbar to remove the planks of wood that are blocking it off. Once open, walk inside the door and hop into the hole pictured below.
After falling to the bottom of the hole, you should arrive at a short obby that requires you to carefully walk across a path made out of vines.
At the other side of this path should be an archway that leads you to a large, decrepit tower.

Walk to the back of this tower to find our next clue—the code EVILPURPLECHAINSAW.
To find out where we need to enter this code, press the black and purple spawn button at the bottom of your screen to return to the main area. Once there, head to the forest area of the map and look for the factory pictured below.
Enter the factory and walk into its Assembly Room. Inside of this room should be a brown box—jump inside of this box to enter the factory’s basement.
Once inside the basement, walk forward and touch the rocket in the corner of the room—this will teleport you to Mars.
On Mars, look for the wooden sign shaped like an arrow pictured below. This sign can be found to the right of the experiment lab.
Follow where the arrow points and jump off of the edge of the planet—trust us! You should land on the solar system pictured below.
Once inside the solar system, look for a spinning purple shape labeled ??? and press E to teleport to it.
Once on this planet, walk into the room outlined by a purple rectangle.
Inside of this room is a maze that’s relatively easy to maneuver through, but exceptionally hard to see. We’d recommend turning your brightness all the way up and walking with your camera pointed toward the floor for the best chance of seeing what’s around you. At the end of this maze you should find another purple rectangle that leads into a decorated hallway.

At the end of this hallway is a TV that requires a secret passcode.
To enter the passcode, click the TV or press E. Then, type in EVILPURPLECHAINSAW and press the ENTER button. Upon doing so, you will be teleported to The Dimension of Darkness. If the code doesn’t work, and instead reads Nice Try, it’s because you don’t have the Foliage Marker unlocked.
Once inside The Dimension of Darkness, a small amount of dialogue will play and Purple Marker will ask you to rescue them by defeating Dark Markery.
After the rest of the dialogue finishes, Dark Markery will appear and begin to chase you with a chainsaw! Use your laser gun to take them down!
Unfortunately, defeating Dark Markery once isn’t enough. In order to rescue Purple Marker, you’ll need to take down Dark Markery a second time while avoiding various flying chainsaws. This task can be rather hard and frustrating, so don’t be discouraged if it takes you multiple tries! Once you’ve defeated Dark Markery the second time, Purple Marker will thank you for freeing them by adding Dark Markery to your Markerdex.
After claiming Dark Markery, you will automatically be teleported back to the main area and can pat yourself on the back! If you’re still looking for a challenge, however, you can try fighting Dark Markery again and earning the Speedrunner badge by defeating them in less than 75 seconds!

But of all the markers, there is only one antagonist. Dark Markery has been plotting against the Purple Marker, here is how to stop Dark Markery and claim it as your own in Find the Markers.
Finding Dark Markery in Find the Markers
Unlocking the rusted door
Have you been curious at that locked door at spawn? To unlock it, first you must talk to the Foliage Marker to learn more. Once you’ve claimed the Foliage Marker, you must retrieve the crowbar from the safe under the chocolate waterfall in the Candyland Biome. The code, as revealed by the Foliage Marker, is ‘3882’. Grab the crowbar then go back to spawn. You will now be able to break open the door.
Walk through the door and drop into the hole, where an easy obby consisting of strong blossoming vines awaits you. Get across the vines to get a badge ‘nature finds a way’ that you need to proceed. At the back of the central house is a code, ‘evilpurplechainsaw’, with a hint that will lead us to the void.
Getting to the void
With our new instructions, we should head to the void. To do this, we must go to the factory in the main map. Go through to the assembly line and drop into the black box at the end of the conveyor belt. Once at the secret basement, you can touch the rocket in the corner to be teleported to Mars.
At the other end of the map, near the space laboratory, will be a wooden sign pointing backwards. Fall off the edge, hugging the wall, and you will teleport to a space room that will take you to many different corners of the Find the Markers universe.
In one of the corners is a purple icon that looks similar to a back hole labelled ‘???’. This is the void. Travel to it.
Go through the door framed in purple upon spawning in and travel the maze. Hug to the left wall as you go and you will quickly find another purple-framed door. Walk through it into a room that requires a password at the end.
In the Passcode interface, type in ‘evilpurplechainsaw’, and you will be teleported to an arena where you will fight Dark Markery in a boss fight and free Purple Marker. The boss fight is fun and will take around a minute and a half.
